Mixing
Mixing is one of the most critical stages of a production. Whether recorded in a home studio or a professional environment, we aim to convey the emotion and expression of the music to the listener in the most accurate way possible. Our goal is to provide a consistent and balanced listening experience across all types of systems.
During this process, we adjust channel levels, balance instruments and vocals in terms of frequency, and shape the sounds through compression and effects processing, ensuring that all the components of the song are heard as a cohesive and harmonious whole.
At Volt.Age Studio, we carry out both digital and analog mixing processes and provide services with a system capable of comfortably handling up to 120 channels, at 32-bit and 24-bit resolutions and sample rates ranging from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz. With our professional equipment, three separate monitoring systems, and more than 15 years of experience, we aim to take your mixing process to the highest level.

Rules to Follow When Preparing a Song for Mixing:
- Creating a Folder:
Create a folder on your desktop and rename it as follows: “Artist Name - Song Title - Song BPM - Time Signature.” If there is more than one song, you can create separate folders for each song inside a main folder named after the artist.
- Exporting the Tracks:
Before exporting, make sure that all tracks start from bar 1.
Export the tracks with EQ, compressor, reverb, delay, and all other plug-ins and effects turned off. You may also make a second export containing the plug-ins that are essential to the song and add it to the folder.
- File Format:
Make sure that you export the files at 24-bit or 32-bit resolution and select the correct sample rate.
- Verification:
Before sending the tracks, import the exported files into a DAW and check that they are free of errors.
- Rough Mix:
Add a rough mix of the song to the folder for reference.
- Additional Notes:
Prepare a text file containing your notes about the song and add it to the folder. You may also include reference tracks that are musically or sonically similar, together with your notes.
Editing of the recordings and Melodyne editing are not included in the mixing process. If you require these services, please let me know.
After the mixing process, you will receive a 32-bit stereo (2-channel) file. Upon request, the project can also be delivered as stems, such as instrumental and vocal stems, or as separate stems including drums, guitars, string orchestra, vocals, and other instruments.
Unless otherwise specified at the beginning of the project, the final files will be sent to the email address from which the songs were uploaded.
